All materials, a journal if you need one and a pen, paints and things to cut and stick

Cake from cobbles and clay, tea and coffee 

A two hour workshop with poet Katie Middleton Tansley

What to expect:

What to expect at a @flowandverse poetry workshop?

 

✨We settle into the space with a brief mindfulness or visualisation exercise. You’re invited to close your eyes and imagine or free write if you prefer. 

 

✨We all say hello and welcome each other 

 

✨There’s always a ‘theme’ to help guide our writing- we discuss the theme and read poems aloud that speak to that theme, we share the prompts 

 

✨You’ll be invited to take some time to write 

To help you there will be:

🎈Prompt cards

🎈Poetry books

🎈Poetry journals

🎈Cut out words from magazines (with glue and scissors!)

🎈Paints and paintbrushes if you want to pretty up your words or help you get started 

🎈Written prompts 

 

✨We have a quick tea break (important)

 

✨Everyone is invited to share their poetry OR how they felt writing the poetry / what came up for them/ whatever you feel comfortable sharing!!

 

✨We then close and look forward to next time!☺️
